Words of Wisdom

Well, this is something that may come in very handy to some of you in the future and that is... if you ever ride with Steve off any normal road, bring a helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, and a mouth guard. Do not bring "to-go" cups of pop, knives, or a metal tool box full of tools... If you do trouble awaits you and all others in the vehicle. But in all seriousness, so much freaking fun. AWSOME TIME!!

Favorite quote of the trip...

"STEVE!!!! YOU (EXPLETIVE DELETED), WATCH OUT FOR THAT (EXPLETIVE DELETED) TREE!!! WHERE IN THE (EXPLETIVE DELETED) DID YOU LEARN TO DRIVE!!"

For Aunt Sue

Summertime is here!!! Fire up the barbecue and toss on the swimsuits! Well, we have been busy. Stacey and I are officially done with our renovations. We just completed the dining room which was the last one to do. New trim, paint, and paneling. It looks great. Besides that Stacey and I have just been working. In other news only a little over a month until Trish and Mike are back! Let the count-down begin.

Stop Whining

First off, we are still alive and well. We have been VERY busy lately. Were are now done with the laundry room (which pretty much completes the house)! We have ceramic tile flooring, a new cabinet, trim, moulding, and all that fun stuff. I finally traded in that Taurus of mine for a more fuel efficient GMC Suburban. OK, not more fuel efficient but definitely more room. It has the towing package, flip down DVD player, CD player, and enough room to put a pool in it. Besides that we're just planning on what to do next on the house (probably making the garage larger!). I'll try to post pictures later tonight of everything. Now you all can stop complaining about the posts. I'll write again in july!

Thanksgiving

Today was the Thanksgiving party for the VanderVoord side of the family. It was very nice. Good food, good people, good times. The only problem is that after you eat... you need to take a nap. We got to talk to Trisha which was really great. I haven't actually TALKED since they left. Anyways, I have a Christmas tree to put up. Happy Holidays!!!
Sorry Aunt Sue... Steve did this once and it is once again time to make more deer... If you let them be you will have more for next year.

The P.T. Cruiser is actually VERY roomy. It a 8' tall snow man can fit, anything can fit.

Bathroom update

Well, you people are relentless. "Where are the pictures??"
Allright then, by popular demand.... da da.... Our bathroom.
New window, bathtub, sink, faucet, cupboard plumbing, drywall, tiled floor, tiled surround, lights, fan, etc.... It was a bunch o' work but it's done now. All we have to do is the tile trim work around the room and PRESTO, new bathroom. So enjoy the Pictures... Say your ooooo's and ahhhh's.

This is part of the plumbing... I never understood
why plumbers do this, but when in Rome...
Wait, is that a dingle berry? I knew I needed a pet monkey to groom me.

Renovation

HELLO AGAIN!!! I think I'm going to wait this long before every post. At least I got some people to post comments. Anyways, we have been VERY busy lately. It all started with "Honey, the bathtub drain doesn't drain well. Two weeks later... and a new bathtub, vanity, cabinets, sink, drains, tiled flooring, tiled tub surround, drywall, new door, etc... we are finally putting it all back together. We got all the plumbing done tonight and are going to put the tub and surround in tomorrow. I left my camera at work but will try to post pics tomorrow. Besides that we are doing wonderfully and miss everyone. Once we are done you all have to come over and poop in our new bathroom. It'll be great fun. See you all soon.
Love,
James and Stacey
